Students and staff of department of Botany attended an Eco walk at Pushkaravanam from 5:30 AM to &:30 AM on 05/06/2025.in collaboration with AP forest department- AP forest Academy and AP Regional Forest Research Centre (RFRC), Rajamahendravaram.
Saplings of various native trees and shrubs were planted in the campus. Further a Miyawaki forest was initiated in front of the Metcalf hostel in the college campus.
In this programme Chief conservator of forest: Sri B.N.N. Murthy, District Collector: Smt. P. Prasanthi, ,Municipal Commissioner: Kethan Garg, MLA: Sri Adireddi Vasu, DFO of East Godavari and State Silviculturist: Sri R. Srinivas, College Vice Prinicipal, Faculty Members and students were participated.

Outcome:
Created awareness to the public and students, an inception to increase the greenery and biodiversity through the concept of Miyawaki forest development concept in open areas.
