The Sir C.V. Raman Centre for International Studies and Research (CISR) was established at Government College (Autonomous), Rajahmundry with the objective of transforming the historic institution into a globally connected, multicultural centre of learning and research.

Named after Sir C.V. Raman, India’s first Nobel Laureate in Physics, the Centre draws inspiration from his spirit of scientific inquiry, innovation, and global engagement. CISR functions as a facilitation and coordination hub to promote internationalisation in academics, research, and student mobility, in line with the objectives of UGC, NEP–2020, NAAC, NIRF, and the Study in India (SII) initiative of the Government of India.
