National Sports Day 2025
The Department of Physical Education, Government College (A), Rajahmundry, successfully organized National Sports Day – 2025 on 29th August 2025, commemorating the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand.
The program commenced with the garlanding of Major Dhyan Chand’s portrait, paying homage to his remarkable contribution to Indian sports. College Principal Dr. Ramachandra R.K. addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of sports in an individual’s life and recalling Major Dhyan Chand’s achievements that brought pride to the nation.
The event was graced by Department In-charge M. Prasad, and Physical Directors P.V.V. Lakshmi and T. Vijaya Durga, along with staff and students.
As part of the celebrations, a Sports Awareness Rally was also conducted within the college premises on 25-08-2025 to promote the significance of physical fitness, discipline, and sportsmanship among students.
