Introduction
On 14th April 2025, Government College (Autonomous), Rajahmundry, proudly observed Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Jayanti, commemorating the birth anniversary of one of India’s greatest social reformers and the principal architect of the Indian Constitution. The celebration aimed to honor Dr. Ambedkar’s tireless struggle for social justice, equality, and the empowerment of marginalized communities. The event served as a moment of reflection on his legacy and relevance in today’s society, especially for the youth and academic community.
Programme
The programme began with a warm welcome to all attendees, including faculty, staff, and students. The highlight of the event was the inspiring address delivered by the Principal, who shed light on the critical need to eliminate caste- and community-based discrimination that continues to hinder true freedom in society. He underscored how Dr. Ambedkar’s life and vision contributed significantly to dismantling these social barriers and establishing a foundation for inclusive growth.
The principal also elaborated on the importance of the Indian Constitution, stressing how it guarantees equal rights, dignity, and protection for all citizens. His words resonated deeply with the audience, reinforcing the constitutional values of justice, liberty, and equality.
