The Teachers' Day celebration in the forenoon of 05/09/2024 at the Department of Physics And Electronics was marked by a heartfelt ceremony in which the Head of the Department (HOD) and postgraduate (PG) students honored the faculty members. The event featured a special shawl-wearing ceremony, where the students presented shawls to the faculty, symbolizing respect and appreciation for their dedication and contributions to the department. Additionally, gifts were presented by both as tokens of gratitude. The celebration highlighted the deep bond between teachers and students, reinforcing mutual respect and admiration while fostering a sense of unity within the department.
In the afternoon, the institutional SRK Awards were presented to selected faculty members, chosen by a panel of jury members. From the Department of Physics, Smt. B. Durga Lakshmi was honored as one of the SRK Awardees for the year 2024. This prestigious award recognized her outstanding contributions to teaching and research
