The Department of Economics conducted “Deeksharambh-2025” with the objective of welcoming and orienting the first-year students of B.A. Economics (Honours) and B.A. Rural Development for the Academic Year 2025-26.
Students were introduced to departmental facilities, curriculum structure, learning outcomes, and future academic opportunities.

Students expressed that the Deeksharambh-2025 Orientation Programme was highly informative and beneficial for their academic transition. They appreciated the clarity provided on the NEP-based curriculum, credit structure, and progression pathways. Many students mentioned that understanding the CIA and SEE evaluation pattern reduced anxiety about examinations. The introduction to digital resources and library services was found to be very useful for future learning. Students felt motivated after learning about career opportunities in Economics and Rural Development. They particularly liked the interactive style of the sessions taken by faculty members. The bridge course information gave them confidence to strengthen their basics. Orientation to NSS, NCC, and YRC inspired many to join social service activities.
