A talk on Economic Empowerment of Women on 7-03-2026 was organized by
the Department of Economics, Government College (Autonomous), Rajahmundry. The
session was delivered by Dr. B. Anjani Kumari, Coordinator of the Women
Empowerment Cell. The programme was chaired by Dr. R. Balayya, In-charge of the
Department of Economics.

Students gained awareness about the concept and importance of women’s
economic empowerment.
Enhanced understanding of government schemes and policies supporting women.

entrepreneurship.
Feedback:
The feedback from students was highly positive. Students appreciated the clarity
and relevance of the topic presented by the speaker. They expressed that the session was
informative, motivating, and helped them understand real-life challenges and
opportunities related to women’s empowerment. Many students felt inspired to contribute
towards creating an inclusive and equitable society.
