The 110th birth anniversary celebrations of renowned writer and Central Sahitya Academy awardee Palagummi Padmaraju Garu were held in a grand manner at the local government
autonomous college (Arts College). Remembering his services to literature, a special program was organized in the college premises. Speaking on the occasion, the college principal, Dr. Ramachandra R. K., praised the services rendered by Palagummi Padmaraju Garu to Telugu literature. He said that his works, especially stories like 'Galivana', are inspiring to the society. He said that Padmaraju Garu's literature is
exemplary for today's generation and his progressive sentiments are memorable.
As part of the program, the head of the Telugu department, Dr. P. A. Satyanarayana explained the life and literary career of Padmaraju. He spoke about the humanistic values and social
consciousness in his works. The students read out some excerpts from Padmaraju's famous works.
