The Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) of Government College (Autonomous), Rajahmundry organized an awareness program on the occasion of National Girl Child Day on January 24, 2026. The program aimed to create awareness about the importance of the girl child, her rights, and the legal protections available for her safety and empowerment.
The event was graced by Social Consultant Mrs. B. Dhenu Naik as the Chief Guest. She delivered an insightful session on the rights of the girl child and explained various laws and government initiatives that safeguard their education, protection, and overall development. She emphasized the need to eliminate gender discrimination and encouraged students to promote equality in society.
Faculty members and students actively participated in the program and gained valuable knowledge about legal rights and social responsibilities. The session was interactive and informative, creating awareness and inspiring students to support the cause of girl child empowerment.
