The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC–II) was successfully conducted from 22nd June to 1st July 2025 by the 18 (A) Battalion NCC at Aditya Global University, Surampalem. The camp was led by Major Mohammad K. Asif, Commanding Officer of 18 (A) BN NCC, who served as the Camp Commandant. The camp hosted over 550 cadets drawn from various schools and colleges across the Combined East Godavari District.From Government College (Autonomous), Rajahmundry, 42 NCC cadets participated in the camp, representing the institution with pride and discipline.
Notably:
• Lt. Dr. Esub Basha Shaik, NCC Officer, served as the Camp Adjutant
• Senior Under Officer M. Praveen Kumar Dora of the same college served as the Camp Senior
Their commitment and leadership throughout the 10-day camp were recognized and appreciated by the Camp Commandant and senior staff.
Objectives and Core Training Areas
The camp primarily aimed to make cadets eligible for NCC A, B, and C Certificate Examinations while fostering leadership, discipline, and national service ideals. The training focused on:
• Physical Training (PT) and Yoga for physical fitness and mental well-being
• Drill Practice to instill discipline, synchronization, and team effort
• Weapon Training and Firing Practice
• Map Reading and Navigation
• National Integration and Cultural Unity Sessions
• Health, Hygiene, and First Aid Awareness
• Army History and Military Values
• Personality Development and Leadership Skills
• Motivational Sessions to inspire cadets to join the Indian Armed Forces
Cadets were familiarized with army lifestyle, time-bound schedules, and the values of service and sacrifice.
Social Service and Civic Awareness Activities
In addition to military-oriented training, cadets actively participated in impactful social and civic awareness programmes such as:
• Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Cleanliness Drive)
• Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (Drug-Free India Campaign)
• Fire Safety & Road Safety Awareness
• Cyber Security Training Sessions
These activities sensitized cadets to their responsibilities as socially aware citizens.

The services of Senior Under Officer M. Praveen Kumar Dora and Camp Adjutant Lt. Dr. Esub Basha Shaik were specially appreciated by the Camp Commandant for their discipline, organization, and leadership.

The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC–II) held from 22nd June to 1st July 2025 was an enriching experience for all cadets. It helped in developing physical endurance, mental strength, leadership skills, and a sense of national duty. The Government College (A), Rajahmundry cadets demonstrated active participation, discipline, and excellence, making the camp a memorable and successful milestone in their NCC journey.
