Government College (A), Rajahmundry actively conducted the SASA Programme in November 2025 with the theme “Personal & Community Hygiene: Protecting Health Together.” Various awareness and community-oriented activities were organised throughout the month, culminating in the celebration of SASA Day on November 15th.
Key Activities
Cleanliness Drives: NCC cadets, NSS, and YRC volunteers carried out campus and surrounding-area cleanliness drives.
Hygiene Sessions: Demonstrations on proper handwashing, personal hygiene, and safe waste disposal.
Sanitation Awareness: Campaigns on preventing open defecation and promoting toilet usage.
E-Waste & Solid Waste Awareness: Posters, demonstrations, and competitions on responsible waste handling.
Community Outreach: Rallies and educational activities, including patient awareness sessions at hospitals such as GIMSR.
SASA Day – November 15, 2025
A formal programme was held on campus.
Principal Dr. Ramachandra Rao R. K. addressed the students, highlighting the significance of hygiene and urging them to continue the spirit of SASA beyond the event. Students and staff took a hygiene and cleanliness pledge.
